Ello had a booth at [TEDxMileHigh](tedxmilehigh.com) in Denver a couple of weekends ago. The theme this year was "Ideas Unbridled" and we were invited because we're reframing social media around a better model; we believe privacy and people matter.
The Denver edition of TEDx is one of the largest TEDx events in the world. We had an idea to create an interactive art show from some of our favorite artists on Ello. We displayed a link to the artists' profiles so attendees could connect with them after having a physical experience with the art.
The 3 hours of booth time were really fun, and we talked to a lot of existing users as well as people who were just learning about Ello. @anna and @chelsea worked the booth with me, and @andreali helped me curate the art gallery. Special thanks to @briancorrigan for making the Ello/TEDx introduction.
This video was taken while setting up for the event, and I convinced my friend from our next-door booth to help make the pixels dance . For the techy folks out there, the gallery was built with Processing and a Kinect camera. This is now set up in the Ello office
Seen in the video is art from @pointandshoot, @kenjihirata and @eboy
