As we ascend into a higher age of technological dependency, I personally find myself becoming connected to something from which I cannot separate. I feel my soul resonating with the world- at any moment I could be anyone or anything, anywhere- I can reprogram myself just as my devices do. I feel I am alone, but look around and realize, it is not just I; my companions are caught in the same web. Are we afraid? No. Because why would you try to escape the web that provides you with every opportunity, every piece of information, every connection, to everyone, and everything?
By making use of an accidental computer glitch creating geometric distortions, I strive to convey a feeling of osmosis between human beings and the technology we've created. Our identities are so strongly determined by the devices we use that eventually, we will lose ourselves into the connected web and create a new society, with no social or economic limitations, where ideas flow freely amongst cultures and peoples, where personal identity fades into nothing more than circuits and relays; it will either be our demise, or our rebirth.
