As part of this year’s MediaLive festival, BMoCA and Ello have teamed to present an International GIF Exhibition. Talented GIF artists Clara Luzian (@render_fruit), Gustavo Torres (@kidmograph), and Trevor Van Meter (@heytvm), will select the 20+ final artists that best represent this year’s MediaLive theme - The Void. Chosen artists’ work will be exhibited in the museum on two screens during the week long MediaLive event.

Paula Morales investigates the space between analogue and digital realms. Through her harlequin GIFs, video, and installation work, she constantly questions the image origin, tightly executing hyperbolic recontextualizations and color studies. Morales’ work is charged with nostalgic elements, modern clichés, and panoply. Her work manifests as digital image, mesmerizing projections and humorous installation work where she incorporates industrial and kitsch materials.
