Boss is driving me crazy. He's worried about how things will go when I'm on vacation (A: Just fine.).
He had me draw up a list of everything I was working on, and then prioritized that list. Fine. But the work still comes in, and I need to juggle things around myself.
Someone came to me with a shitty unnecessary job, and I said flat-out that I have a list, and there are way more important things on it right now, than doing pretend documents as negotiating tools. Fine. He then went to my boss, who wanted to reexamine my list.
If you want me to work the list, fine. But then you have to stop more work from coming in. The list only works if it's closed.
That, of course, started a huge thing about 'you have so many things on your list still'. Sigh. Yes, I do. Because people keep dumping shit on me because I'm going away, and it's the end of the world or something.
I know what I have to do. It'll all be done. I prioritize my own work precisely not to bother you with all this stuff.
Fuck, man. It's just ten days. If it's not done before I go, it can all wait. We're not firefighters, here.
