So I was idly checking out scarves at Selfridges' and Liberty, both being places where Mom needs to go.
Scarves are between two hundred and four hundred and fifty pounds.
Needless to say, I will not be spending a thousand dollars on a fucking scarf.
Options, then, for little London extravagances are going to be pretty limited. The leading contender is from Geo. F. Trumper, where I need to pick up some shaving soap. While I have a rosewood bowl at home, it's not as nice as the buffalo horn bowl.
That is really fucking nice. And thirty-four pounds, so seventy bucks? Expensive, but not expensive for what it is, and how long I'll have it.
The soap itself lasted me a good five years. Need more of that. The buffalo horn bowl, though? Sweet jeebus, that's nice. And way more reasonable than a four hundred dollar scarf.
