Almost taken out at a four-way intersection yesterday.
I was approaching from the left, but was at the intersection first. I had stopped and started again when the car from the right arrived at the intersection, and did a rolling stop.
I drove into the intersection, and was surprised that the other car kept coming, too. I braked, and laid on the horn. As the older woman swerved around me, she blew me a kiss.
Obviously, she was prepared for this, if she could plan that move out.
I think she was drunk. Assoholic behaviour like that is pretty normal for Hamilton drivers -- young, male drivers. But women in their late fifties, early sixties? That's bizarre.
I was pretty shaken up by the whole thing. Took me a while to steady myself.
Maybe it's crazy to say, but I think the Habs flag on my car might have had something to do with it. Otherwise, why pick out a car to 'beat' at an intersection? If it's just an ordinary car, why play chicken?
I'm overthinking this. It was just a drunk asshole.
