All afternoon, I've been thinking of when I applied for a law student summer job, coming out of my articling year, and had worked that job for a year already. They went with someone who was a year behind me. I never got a rejection letter, so I went into the office to ask. They tried convincing me that they went with someone who had more experience, which was technically impossible. Then the guy wanted to know from me all the details about who was supposed to have sent me a rejection letter and is this my correct address and am I sure no-one sent me a letter and blah blah blah, and all I wanted to do was get out of there. That they didn't hire me was pretty bullshit, but fine. That they wanted my help in fixing their busted office protocols, fuck you.
