So the Boat Fund is over two grand now, being most of the way towards a transatlantic crossing. And on busy days like this, I like to think about getting on that boat.
All sorts of activities, but I really only have one in mind (well, two -- astronomy out in the middle of the Atlantic should be pretty fucking amazing). I have every inclination to do jack shit but read. It all comes down to, then, which book to take? I could take a couple, but better to take just one big one and plough through, right? Right.
So far, the leading contender: the Richard Burton Diaries.
I have it, won't get to it for a while, and it's the kind of book you can't read in tiny bits. Plus, Dick and Liz out there on the sea -- there's something to it.
Which isn't to say that I won't change my mind, but so far, it Seems Like A Plan.
Jeebus -- planning my reading list for next October's vacation. STRESSED MUCH? ME?
