So I was selected by my governing body for a spot audit of my continuing education courses. We have a certain amount of hours we need to do every year. In your annual report, you have to list the courses and hours and blah blah blah.
I did my hours, and have all the documentation supporting it. So it's no problem. It's just the matter of getting a fat envelope from the governing body marked "PERSONAL AND CONFIDENTIAL", and your heart stopping. No good can ever come of that.
It seems that the spot audit program is new. Before, it was simply done on the honour system, but hey -- lawyers. It was the talk of the last conference I did, where even the presenters at the continuing ed courses were getting audited. Maybe you can fake your attendance at a program, but I have no idea how you can fake being a presenter at one.
Pain in the ass, though. And in the rush of stuff before I go away, there's no better timing for a fucking AUDIT.
