Massively snowing out there.
We've been doing OK with winter so far. Not bad at all. Which isn't to say that I couldn't use a nice snow day, catching up on DVDs.
Hitting the doldrums of winter, there is at least the benefit of orchid shows here and there. Hamilton's comes up at the end of February (I think -- it's not on the RBG's website, and you'd think they could maybe get on that?). But it looks like Buffalo's is on now until the start of March. And the Buffalo Botanical Gardens building is such a gem. Slightly decrepit Lord & Burnham greenhouses, how I love them.
Family Day weekend might just be the thing. The plan was to go to Ottawa and Montreal then, but... Yeah. Money's tighter than I would have liked. An outing to Buffalo might just have to do. With a visit to the Basilica across the street, to get something appropriate for a little girl doing her First Communion in a little while.
Going over the border on Family Day weekend is a bit of a pain, but I feel like going somewhere. And orchid shows are always nice. I do love my orchids.
