So the new woman to come forward? She was a year behind me at Western Law.
I thought she looked familiar. I didn't recognize her name, and only know her by sight -- law school is pretty segmented, and if someone isn't in your particular year and group, there's little other interaction. Looks like she has a considerable post-law-school career, which I also didn't know, because I reflexively trash everything that comes in from the alumni association.
And once again it's interesting to see how paths diverge once we all left. Interesting and depressing. A couple of months ago I actually hid at a gas station when someone I was actually friends with at Western drove in to gas up at the same time as me, and I was embarrassed to be driving a Honda Fit, compared to his loaded-up Mercedes.
Whatever. I know I've nothing to be objectively embarrassed about, but I am.
This woman wrote books on how wonderful it is to be married, and how wonderful it is to have kids. Good for her. Also something I wouldn't know.
But yeah. It's great that she came forward. She certainly didn't have to.
