So there's a story going around about how some guy is being forced to sell his Star Trek boogie van.
FOR SALE: Star Trek Boogie Van
And while I lived through that era, and remember them fondly, I never knew there was a proper name for them. SO now, of course, I'm going through everything the internettes have to offer on boogie vans.
The vans themselves are pretty spectacular. And, of course, with every boogie van, there is a pic of a boogie van babe to go with it.
I'm having a grand old time going through all of these. Sure, it's all silly and outdated now, and not a little bit sexist, but for me, there's no denying the charm of it all, the sheer pride of these women posturing with their vans. YMMV.
None more so than the NSFW image shown in a GIS for 'boogie van babe' or 'custom van babe' (easily found). She's having a grand old time with her boogie van. And for all of the shit that was the late 70s and early 80s, it's good to be reminded that there were a lot of good times, too. The pleasure of risque pics camping out in the woods in a custom van.
A more innocent time. In some ways.
