So there was the Power of the Pen presentation on Friday night, to give awards to local teen writers. There is some really, REALLY good stuff out there. Unreal.
Anyway, one of the presenters was a librarian I recognized, but couldn't place. A children's librarian. She looked so familiar, but I couldn't think of how i knew her. it must have been a board presentation, or a tour, but I couldn't come up with anything.
But she was cute and fun and clearly had a good head on her shoulders, so I made sure that we were introduced. If I'm not mistaken, she had a glimmer of recognition as well.
It wasn't until the next morning that the coin dropped. Tai Chi. She was in my Tai Chi class, before she bailed. And why did she bail?
So. I messaged her on FB, asking her to confirm that that was where we met, as conversation bait. And so far, nothing. That could be her response, that could be FB sending my message to some Other folder, who knows?
Hell of an online presence. She prints her own greeting cards and does portraits of her friends and stuff.
We will see. I am not expecting much, as without an opening... My secret fear is that in mentioning Tai Chi, I made her remember that creeper in her class or something (but i think I behaved).
Starting to put together photos and shit for going back online dating (thus all the selfies in the last while). I'm dreading it. Grabbing ahold of this possibility with a real live woman seems a nice bit of procrastination, really.
