I'm debating about buying more cuckoo clocks. I think I'm up to 17 now (not all cuckoo, not all are working). We'll be heading through Frankenmuth on our way to Chicago, and there's a clock store there which is cuckoo central.
I'd like the third time bomb on the right, please.
Yeah, so, a NEW cuckoo clock would be nice, and there are substantial reductions. But I am running out of space -- I would like to have a bank of them in the living room, and then, you know, slow down. (I CAN QUIT ANYTIME I WANT TO.)
Then again, one of the quartz miniatures are much easier to deal with, and much cheaper than a $300 new clock.
There's time to decide, of course, but I have to have made up my mind before I walk in the store. There won't be much time for our detour, and I have to be in and out like a fucking SWAT team.
Plus, I need a new pendulum for one of my chalet ones. I'm looking for another chalet one, with a pop-up chimney sweep and beer drinker pounding them back, which is $286, I think -- a very good deal for a one day with two separate moving actions.
And I know what you're thinking, but you can put it out of your mind right now. Some people are crazy cat ladies. I'm a crazy clock man. And I CAN QUIT ANYTIME I WANT. What can I say? I like the movement and soft white noise. It's a great comfort in the middle of the night, knowing that the world is progressing still. Whatever.
