Pretty sedate affair, I suppose, where not everyone is in the moment. Varying degrees of attention, while it's far from the chaos of Leonardo's. Apostles in the foreground, actually seated around the table, seems to be fairly rare for Last Supper paintings. Self-portrait on the dude on the right. Crosses everywhere -- the window, the floor, directly behind Christ -- but none of them obviously crosses.
Critically, though, Christ addresses the viewer directly. He's not speaking to those in the room, He's speaking to you.
And compositionally, it's pretty neat. Bouts really works the perspective here.
