Idly thinking about going to one of the grand railway hotels out west, and by rail (of course). And that other dream of going cross-country by rail? Ain't gonna happen.
I knew it was expensive, but I didn't know it was that expensive. A lot more than the last time I checked, a few years ago. So yeah -- the train, plus four-five hundred bucks a night hotel? No fucking way.
Closest I'll get is doing Chateau Frontenac. Which would also be good, but not as. The whole point is to go and just stare at the scenery in luxury. Quebec City is nice and all, but there's jack shit to do there after a day.
Oh well. Good thing I'm going on the Boat. A fucking steal compared to the train cross country. Holee shit. No fucking clue.
