I love art supplies more than a stickle brick loves Haribo. Just ask it - it’s truer than a blue canoe! Every Sunday I’ll grab some stuff out of the art box and we’ll talk it out like Trisha.
Today’s #StuffOnSunday is all about these blue Staedtler Noris pencil crayons. Now, I buy more of these pencils than you can shake a rocking chair at. Go on give it a go, you’ll be shakin’ chairs for so long that your arms will go all bendy and you’ll have to sit down and drink a Capri-Sun. I started drawing with pencil crayons a few years ago when I didn’t have any graphite pencils with me, and since then I’ve ditched graphite pencils completely and only use these guys. I mainly use them for sketching out illustrations and working things out before I start inking, which is handy as the lines are nice and easy to erase. The line quality is perfect for my drawing style - you can wrangle out drawings of peanuts with eyebrows until you run out of hair. I keep going back to #Staedtler pencils because they are the most durable I’ve found. My art box is always rattling around in my car, and these guys hold up just fine - they ain’t too happy when I stop the car but they work just fine after a sincere apology and a tickle under the chin. I’d definitely rate them a 7, with 1 being Bill Murray and 6 being Bill Nighty. Okay then, a 7.2 but don’t tell Bill Nighy. Stay tuned like a Tunisian tuna for next week’s #StuffOnSunday !
