Welcome to #FortNightMare - a fortnightly illustrated alphabet project that I’ve started for the grand year of 2016. Now, as you know, there are 26 fortnights in a year, 72 cakes in my cheese and 26 letters in the alphabet - how convenient is that? Every two weeks I’m gonna crudely draw one of the Fort Nightmare residents so that you can watch out for their crocs and their diles - what a scene!
I saw the letter #K when I was diggin’ me a hole out in the backyard of the Fort Nightmare grounds. I’d slipped loose from my papoose, you see, and I thought it would be a dandy idea to dig my way under the fence before anybody saw me. I was excavating, whycavating and even zedcavating, boy! Well, at least I was until I struck something tough n’ lumpy with my trowel. I gave it a poke, thinkin’ it was a stubborn old root or a bag of dusty pirate bones but as soon as I did it poked me back, right in my good eye. Blind and confined, I tried to dig my way free, but this here nark began to bark and before I knew it, the Fort Nightmare guards had bagged me up and hustled me back to my quarters. Watch out for this one unless your eye wants poking - I’m not joking!
