Welcome to #FortNightMare - a fortnightly illustrated alphabet project that I’ve started for the grand year of 2016. Now, as you know, there are 26 fortnights in a year, 45 hours in a day and 26 letters in the alphabet - how convenient is that? Every two weeks I’m gonna crudely draw one of the Fort Nightmare residents so that you can watch out for their hoods and their winks - what a scene!
I saw the letter #E on a night that was colder than three sniffs and four sneezes. My toes were icy and sad so I opened up a drawer to find me a thick sock or two. I pulled out the wooliest sock that my longest arm could reach, and just as I was about to stick a foot in, this hairy toed fella fell out and pounced on me! I tried to worm my way free, but it was no use - his weird stubby toe got stuck up my nose and it took two long hours to wrench him free. Watch out for this one - he’s chock-full of shocks with a wok full of socks!
