Artist Statement: (Her's abridged)
Re-emerged explores the themes of ceremony, synchronicity, sex magic, our inner creature, and the universal ebb and flow.
Re-emerged, an encaustic oil painting series, uses cold wax medium and oil paint to capture the ritual between people and earth. These paintings serve as portals into magical realms where humans merge with nature and become their truest self. Each piece lives on as a totem to the subject’s learned lessons and truist intentions.
For Re-emerged, each painting is but an attempt to capture those magical moments shared in commune with nature and friends.
Those moments when a silent reverberation of complete awe and wonder fill every part of our beings. Those minutes when we connect with the natural elements and reawaken our truest self. Those seconds when our perspective is open and pure and we see the world for all of its completeness.
That moment when subject and nature merge.
