30 Days of Horror - Day 27 - SHARK NIGHT
'Dark Waters' (2003)
Phillip J. Roth (Director)
Lorenzo Lamas (Actor)
Simmone Mackinnon (Actress)
Jeffrey Gorman (Actor) I wanted to watch a shark movie tonight. Like, really bad. What I really wanted to watch was 'Shark Nigh 3D' (2011) even though it's not in 3D when you watch it streaming. Have you ever noticed that? I love how they put 3D in the title, like "Saw 3D" or "Shark Night 3D" and it seems stupid and pointless when you pick up the DVD and it's not going to be in 3D. I mean really. But I digress. I have 'Jaws' (1975) but I'm saving that for my horror marathon on the 31st, potentially. The next one I really wanted to watch was 'Deep Blue Sea' (1999) because it has super-smart sharks and Samuel L Jackson dies in a really funny way while monologue-ing about shit. It, along with 'Shark Night' was on Netflix streaming for the longest time - but alas, not anymore. Not on Amazon Prime either. 1st World Problems, right? Trolling through Amazon Prime and Netflix both, I finally came across 'Dark Waters' (2003), a charming little tale of "unusually vicious sharks in the Gulf of Mexico", they apparently attack an oil rig, get a taste for human blood and hilarity ensues. So, grab your chum buckets and shark chain mail, mein peeps... it's going to get weird.
