This is from an on-going series that describes communities through the chairs found in their public spaces. I was curious to know how much you can understand about a community without seeing the actual people that live there. The other thing that interestes me is that although the photographs are seemingly banal, their significance will change over time as details within them reveal something of the materials, the technology and perhaps even the social relationships of the day.
Born in London, I took a degree in Documentary Photography at Newport before moving to Italy in 2002. Now specialised in environmental portraiture, interiors and advertising on-location, I work for a wide range of magazines, book publishers and commercial clients. My personal work has been exhibited in London, Paris and Berlin.
