Jeanne Teolis (@jeanneteolis)
American collagist, Jeanne Teolis lives and works in upstate, New York. She is a collector of ephemera, scouring used book shops, yard sales, and junk shops to incorporate it in her collage work. Art has always been her passion, growing up she created many small masterpieces for her mother, drawing, cutting and pasting whatever she could get her hands on. To Jeanne, collage is an adventure, using found images from vintage magazines, and books, starting with one piece she lets the rest unfold with limitless possibilities. She finds inspiration in everyday life, and has much fun creating art to share. Jeanne continues to explore and experiment with new forms

Artist (Collect - Disassemble - Create)
In my art, I study people and their mutual connections. These relationships are a recurring theme. My work is an ongoing study, and each single work is a link, a next step in my process. Each work teaches me something about my relationship towards others, about mutual connections and bonds.
Loneliness, power, control, dependency and trust are recurring themes.

Welcome to the Ello backcountry community! Meant for human-powered trips outside of civilisation, mountains in particular, where nature still reigns. Be it on foot, on bike, on snowshoe, on ski, or on (split)snowboard. Mention @ellobackcountry in your posts or answers to posts to have it considered for resharing on this page.
