Another end of year
The past month plus has been trying after minor surgery to my right hand--I was supposed to be up and running (lol not really on my hands right?) sorta speaking in a peasy.. well no. After putting literally my brain at the tip of my fingers for most of my life--and as confirmed by hand surgeon--there is a fair amount more nerves endings than say.. a construction worker.
Not talking in social stratas here: as if I wouldn't need skillful construction professionals if I were to remodel my house for example. But got no house. But got studio spaces.. Which by far, I prefer. It's our way of life: create--produce--publish. So I learned that hammering nails with an air-gun or traditionally won't yield the same nerve endings as someone who tried very hard to draw on the lines (part of an eye therapy when I was two) and then colouring within the lines then exploring outside the lines.. loved it so.. never stopped. That's how from traditional illustration I became a totally passionate abstract painter and art explorer.
All this to say--I am healing but slowly. Very slowly. Too slowly.
All this to wish you peace--love--and new challenges for 2023.
