Healing Tea: Chamomile (Manzanilla) Soothes the stomach and the Soul (Comparable to the Chinese herb Ginseng)
Internally: Soothes stomach muscles, helping with digestion issues, irritable bowel muscles, as well as colitis.
Also used for: hay fever, inflammation, muscle spasm, menstrual disorders, insomnia, ulcers, gastrointestinal disorder, and hemorrhoids.
Externally: Can be used as a wash or compress for skin problems and inflammations, including inflammations of mucous tissue including after giving birth as a rinsing agent to help heal inflamed skin. Can also be used externally as a wash for hemorrhoids.
Directions: Take one tablespoon of dried flowers per cup of boiling water
Warnings: Chamomile can cause uterine contractions so usage among pregnant women is discouraged.
