"Art a personal Synopsis"
You don't have to like it, you just have to look. You don't have to act on it, you just have to react to it. To an Artist, one of the earlier statements being true is enough, to achieve both is a gift. To have both and a loving Audience a treasure.
If art was about money, starving artists would not exist. It is that struggle that feeds the fire. The greater the struggle the more we strive. Nothing that is easy is satisfying. as they say "easy come easy go"! When something is hard-won, that is a prize.
As an Artist , I create to satisfy my need for self-expression be it on whim and fancy or by direct intention. I also appreciate the critic as much as the patron. They go together like order and chaos You have to have both to achieve balance.
Art is ultimately personal for the critic patron and artist, always subjective to tastes and societal norms. I'll leave you with a famous quote, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"; you will never make everyone happy, so just work on making yourself happy as hard as that may be. After all we are our own biggest critics!
