Growing up I kept a pencil in one hand and dirt in the other.
I’ve always intertwined my time outdoors with time in my studio. I find solace in nature, and in return she makes her way into my work. I’ve been lucky to live in the foothills of Virginia and Tennessee, the arid terrain of Utah and now the forest of the Pacific Northwest.
I translate each place into a deconstructed landscapes made up of lines, marks, colors and form. Each piece shows how I translate the world around me.
