Thrilled to be here
I reached High Lake, my destination for the night, just in time for sunset. The orange sunset glow cast on Cirque Peak and along the ridgeline was quite mesmerising as the sun was setting over Mt. Langley. It would’ve been pretty cool to see it from the summit, I thought to myself though. Maybe I’ll try that next time. For now I was just thrilled to be here at High Lake, which took me three years since the first time I hiked past this lake to summit Mt. Langley. Now, I was patiently waiting for the Milky Way to rise.
