At one point, I labeled myself as a "B-average student". I allowed myself to choose reddit over studying because according to my calculations (or lack there of), no matter how hard I tried, I'd never be as good as the girl who got straight A's. I would never be as happy as the boy who smiles, even when he's sad. I would never be like the women who stand up for their beliefs, even in the face of criticism. I would never be like them - because they are great and I am not.
I have since changed my outlook on life. I am not the B-average student nor am I the A-average student, I am just me. And being me is awesome. And you being you is awesome. Our goal is to be better than the person we were yesterday, nicer than the person we were as kids, older than the person we were two seconds ago. Don't ever feel the need to compare yourself to others. You are not them. They are not you.
To quote Dr. Seuss: “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You. ... Kid, you'll move mountains.”
