January is horrible. It's always horrible. It's a low-energy, depressive time of year, and yet it's also a high-demand month at work. Yeah, those W-2s and 1099s you need to file your taxes? That's what I do. All month. Even here in the subtropics it's usually grey and (relatively) cold. Clients need year end books done at the speed of light, for the same reason you need your W-2s. Some things just have to be done when they have to be done, and although I'm pretty skilled at modifying both my life and my work around my limitations, this month just has to be...borne.
So I'm just gonna Fat Dog it, and Bear Down for Midterms over here.
