Several Truths and a Lie (as suggested by @rickwayne), Performance Background Edition:
Worked as a tarot reader for a well-known 900 number psychic hotline. I also did fortune telling for parties and events.
Have played stage roles performed in films by Carol Burnett (Dot in “Noises Off”), Meryl Streep (Kate in “Dancing at Lughnasa”), and Glenn Close (the Marquise de Merteuil in “Les Liaisons Dangereuses”).
I rarely sing now due to serious sinus issues, but I am a classically trained coloratura soprano. My favorite role was Susanna in “La Nozze di Figaro.”
Dropped out of a murder mystery dinner theatre production because the writer/director was so obsessed with the O. J. Simpson trial that she canceled a performance to fly to L.A. just to be “closer to the action.”
Modeled for a painting that became a bodice-ripper romance novel cover.
Won a Special Merit Award for a radio theatre piece that featured cranky old men watching a country bumpkin sing a Disney-esque song before getting hit by a bus. Years later I saw a similar bit on “30 Rock” and was positively tickled by it. (Weird minds think alike.)
Was a singing telegram performer.
So which is the lie? They all sound kind of preposterous, don't they?
Edited to add: I'll announce the lie tomorrow after 3:00 p.m. in the comment thread below.
