Personal creative diary: I had 2 phases of "creativity" with my abstract oil paintings. The first phase was getting my style/direction going that resulted in a lot of experimenting and about 20 abstract paintings. That was roughly 10 years ago (around the start of my marriage). These paintings were geometric with a mixture of organic elements. Then I took a job at a marketing agency that pretty much devoured my creative energy, my time, any desire to ever work in a marketing agency and which caused a lull in my painting output. During this time I also became a father, so oil painting around an infant was not something I wanted to do. However, as she got older I entered the next phase. This phase had a lot of experimenting as I got back into painting. I felt a little more comfortable painting oils around my kid once I discovered water-mixable oils. I look back on those paintings from 4 years ago and shudder, though I smile thinking that I may have improved a little.
All that to say is that I'm going to start posting some paintings and digital work from that phase. I may at some point post my "first phase" abstract paintings, not sure yet. Anyway, I'm going to start doing a portfolio dump of my latest work from my "second phase". So my 8 followers, prepare to be bombarded!
TL;DR Imma start SPAMing...er...posting a lot of my work and I may start losing what few followers I have.
