Right now reading the book of an old italian poet : Gabriele di Annunzio. The book, called "La beffa di Buccari" is the tail of its expedition during WWI to sink Austrian-Hungarian ships in a port called Buccari.
Well written and extremely poetic -Di Aunnzio was known as 'The Poet'- this book is short but really intense. A must within italian poetry.
How funny that Di Annunzio was one of the greatest mind of fascism during the 20's and one of Mussolini's rivals. The Italian dictator honored his friend-enemy by giving him national funerals in 1938.
