-News & Thanks-
Hello! Just a heads up to you fine folks, you may notice some of my posts disappearing. I've been sending out a lot of my work to various publications (fingers crossed) so I've been removing some of my stories and poems from ello. I appreciate every single person who has read, loved, watched, or commented on any of my posts. Thank you so much! It means a great deal to feel heard and seen, to receive well thought out constructive criticism, and to know I'm not creating in a void. This is not a goodbye. I will still be active on ello. I'll just be deleting some of my older posts. It's time. A sort of clearing of the decks is in order to make headspace for newer, longer written work.
This year's Season of Yes has begun. More travel? Yes. More writing? Yes. More publication submissions? Yes. More artistic projects? Yes. More live performances? Yes. More set construction? Yes. Am I scared? YES. Will I do it anyway? Yes.
I already have one live performance done - a revival of the long-form poetry performance, Completist Panic, that I did during my Season of Yes for 2016. This weekend I've been invited to participate in Publicly Complex, which is a monthly live short story reading event. My partner-in-art, who wrote and performed The Darkened Door with me, informed me that our new play has been accepted into this year's Fringe Festival. And a local director I'm acquainted with is planning on producing an offstage version of my one-act play The Center Ring.
