The artistic duo BLECHMEKI has taken mass-produced American pottery from the 30’s through the 80’s and has used them to create their photo tableaux. At first glance, individual pieces of pottery – such as vases and figurines – look the same, but each piece is slightly different in shape and color, due to irregularities in their manufacturing process. These pottery pieces were once common in homes all over the U.S., where they shared everyday moments with families and friends. Now many sit, unseen, in attics and storerooms, gathering dust. Personifying my feelings about humanity while exploring the idea of Man versus Civilization in existence and conflict, and in struggles and triumphs; both realistically and abstractly. nsey is an art-project by Martin Koch & Peter Runkewitz, about all day life looked at from an extraordinary perspective.
This is about our fantastic, melodramatic, exaggerated, understated, quiet and very noisy vision of life as something full of different shapes, tones and colours that we all explore daily.
One of the more strong topics thriving our enthusiasm in this project is the subject of human behavior. Like waves at a beach a never-ending source of inspiration, in which we take a bath, (regularly and literally).

John Faifer is a Brazilian Painter and Multimedia Artist born in Rio de Janeiro, 1992, based in Portugal since 2015.
