Ello is now NSFW!
Starting today, you can turn on & off adult content on your Ello settings page.
The way it works is simple.
Ello doesn’t censor — but not everyone wants to see adult content. Starting today, if you regularly post adult stuff, you must mark your profile NSFW on your settings page.
(If you don’t, we’ll warn you politely. If you still don’t, you risk having your account frozen. See the Ello Rules section for more info.)
Bottom line is, please be respectful of others. Not everyone wants to see what you want to see. Be cool, and everyone gets to have fun on Ello.
PS: You can use this system to flag individual posts as NSFW. Any post you create while the setting is "YES" will be marked NSFW. If you toggle it back to "NO" any post you make will NOT be marked NSFW. We're working on a simpler way to do this on a post-by post basis.
PPS: We’re rolling out an inappropriate content flagging feature on Ello soon as well — so everyone can notify us if someone is doing something they shouldn’t. Until then, please email us at email@example.com if you see something you think is bad happening. We’ll take care if it right away.
