We've had a lot of new users joining Ello in the past few days
I recently wrote a welcome letter to help new users make the most of their Ello experience. It takes a little bit of exploration to get into the vibe, but you'll find a friendly, creative and awesome community here. Ello is still very much under development, but it's changing quickly and we're constantly adding new features and refining things based on your feedback. I encourage looking through some of my past posts, as well as some of the other founders' accounts (@budnitz, @todd, @lucian) to start your Ello journey.
If you're just joining, you also might want to check out these recent posts to help you along:
@cgwarex wrote another great welcome letter a couple of days ago.
Ello founder @budnitz has a great post about our new media embed feature, and lots of great people to follow.
@budnitz also wrote a great welcome letter to new users, and a good piece about why FB pages suck (and why Ello is a great alternative for your band/company/organization)
@scottkleinberg of the @chicagotribune wrote a piece about getting onto Ello, and is enjoying his newfound emoji skills
@ddailey wrote his own welcome letter with great links for new users.
I've made some lists of my favorite artists on Ello, and this is a great place to look for some visual inspiration.
Finally, some other fantastic people to follow who make Ello what it is:
Record labels @ninja-tune and @adnoiseam
Tons of user-generated Ello-themed gifs over at @gifs (make your own and submit them!)
Jewelry artist @andreali
Video artist & animator @alessiodevecchi
Found image/animation archaeologist @letoilesan
Zen master @immanuel
And so many more... Have a great Ello, and thanks for being here with us
