779. We like to imagine an infinite perfection,
as something outside of ourselves,
that somehow missed us;
and we love to think of this infinite perfection as some sort of omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent divinity;
we like to think of this because it comforts us;
we invest great store in this belief because it comforts us to think that no matter what happens, we are ultimately safe in the bosom of our belief, our projection, our creation
of this perfection
that leaves us out,
dispossessed of its perfectness...
For some odd reason
we like to believe
all of humanity,
and inherently unworthy,
and in need of some fixing
in some way;
some of us derive great comfort, reassurance, self justification,
even self righteousness from this belief,
and time honored
creation of ours...
Some of us like to think
of humanity as some sort of curse
or plague on the world,
that we are all born with some innate wrongness that we then foist on the planet and nature itself by our mere being, and are ever in dire need of being punished and even constantly chastised by some unquestionable creator god;
in keeping with a belief in something our mythical ancestor did or failed to do, we perpetuate the idea of some “original sin” that we are all responsible for, and expected to atone for...generation after generation...whirled without end...
We feed our myths of spiritual burden to every new generation so they can carry the inheritance and pass it on to the next; flaws and all...
Myth is a most ancient spiritual technology based on the creation of energetic structures of thought, idea, and belief, like a blueprint, roadmap, or software program for the psyche, capable of providing guidance and direction through the unknown,
the void, the as yet undefined or undetermined, the enigmatic;
myth can inspire or forestall or retard and contain; when myth constrains to excess it will be dismantled and dispelled and a new myth will be created...
The myths we tell ourselves
define us and our experience
of our lives, one another, the universe, and creation...
Knowing the power
of belief and myth,
the self initiate
dispels them all
new and original myths
out of the nothing
using only the tool
as infinite consciousness
is all myths
and no myth...
The death, misery, and suffering of our world
is for us all to reconcile, and make sense of to and for ourselves for our own peace; it is the great mystery and points to the question of why are we here, what are we really doing here, why have we come, and from where, and for what purpose, to what end...
Myth, both our personal and collective myth, is how we answer these questions of origin, meaning, and purpose...
Healthy myth is alive, invigorating, and ever evolving, otherwise it becomes unresponsive, irrelevant, stagnating, confining, detrimental, and repulsive...
Infinite love knows the way,
for it is the way,
constantly creating the path
from wherever we are,
to the source
of the light...
