Sometimes, if my tiny budget permits, I’d buy some paintings by other artists so that I can have a closer look at them — to study them and to have the priviledge of touching them! This is preciously one of them.
Another aquisition from another artist via The American Collector. This painting is supposedly by Lucy Glick, a PAFA alumni, and purchased from the estate of Lucy Glick. According to The American Collector, the Glick estate said Glick passed away in 1998(?) and this is one of her works. The other bidders didn't seemed interested in this piece so The American Collector went for it and now it's in this artist collection.
In all candor, even though if it wasn't by her, I am still very drawn to it. There is so much to like about this piece. It's beautiful — the model and his posture, the brushwork, the colours and the composition. The price of this piece? I prefer to call it finder's fee!
