I'm Daniel Fazio, a 25 years old Italian who moved to Switzerland in 2014.
Here I started to have the opportunity to travel and hike around Switzerland. Lakes, mountains, forests and more. This is how I started photography.
But out there, there was more. I wanted to see something more than a tree, than the water, than the sand. I wanted to see people and what they could offer.
I've started travelling the world since then.
One of my last trips was in Thailand.
What hit me about this country was the dependency on tourists and their money. I've figured out that it was a place that people knew and suggested if you wanted to go and have parties by the beaches. Cheap alcohol and food.
I wasn't there for this. I wanted to see the Thais. This brought me to see and do such things as sharing a ride on a school bus with students, drink tea and eat cookies offered by some drunk locals at 9 a.m, get off the main touristic area and time-slot to see the real locals and markets, and observe the sea gipsy crafting boats.
Those 3 pictures are from project "Faces of Thailand".
