I'm trying to visit as many countries as I can in my lifetime, so jumped at the opportunity to hit #29 with a day trip to Sweden.
A short train ride brought me to a city named Malmö, and at the suggestion of the staff at a restaurant named "Bastard" I had lunch at this interesting place: Saltimporten Canteen. Located at the end of the bay, they make one meal a day and are open for only two hours (12-2, Mon-Fri). The concept seems to work because the chefs are able to focus on perfecting unique and satisfying dishes that make locals feel fed and cared for.
Of course I didn't get there until 2:15 because I got lost. But they fed me anyway, and didn't mind me snooping around too much :)
Lunch that day was: Braised beef w rhubarb, ramps, and caramelized onion.
