I'm hoping to cook a lot of what I eat starting this week. I ordered a sous vide supreme, and my plan is cooking large batches of meat in it. Bonnie's facebook post made me realize one of those may also be a great idea for brown rice and veggies. She got a fancy Zojirushi rice cooker, but I have a feeling I'm better off starting with a cheap one, to see if I actually end up using it much. But I'm not certain.
Mostly, that made me wonder if I'm missing something else that would be a great idea for feeding myself. Suggestions?
I'm interested in stuff that's healthy, and doesn't require much of my time.
I guess until I get a rice cooker, my plan is big batches of sous vide meat, and microwaved (Minute brand) instant brown rice and veggies (microwave ready broccoli / cauliflower / carrot mix?). (Refrigerated and microwaved throughout the week.)
