I was born in Brazil and moved to Amsterdam in 1988, where I did the Rietveld Art Academy. I’ve been working as a visual artist since 1995. I received several scholarships from the Foundation for the Arts and Architecture of Holland (fonds bkvb) for my work on garbage in the plastic arts and had many exhibits, both in the streets and in museums and galleries around the world.
I’m represented by the Mirta Demare gallery in Rotterdam.
I’ve been writing poetry since I was 6 years old. In 2007 I started a blog, where I publish my poetic texts and other works.
My first book with poems and illustrations, Contentíssima em Caconde, was published by Editora Patuá in September 2014. My second book, Cavalo das Almas, was published in January 2017.
At the moment, I’m working on translating my poetry into English. I also play music improvisation with my band, pasjenten, and curate an Ello ‘zine #poezine.
