Just got kicked of the host I use for scanning and such for good. Bah. Fortunately I uploaded my scanner to packetstorm so I guess no harm done. You'd be surprised how many abuse reports I got trying to find Cisco ASAs via their ssh banners. I could say that I should have used SNMP (since its an SNMP exploit anyway) but thats avoiding the point that I've been avoiding for ages, that my favorite inexpensive Russian hosting company has legitimized. I had been using that host to run a tor exit node since bitcoin cost $4/ea, so at least 5 years?

Now they're all legit and stuff. I still love that in Russia admins don't just jump onto your server (ever), they respect digital privacy. Never the less it's is no longer the correct host for me. When I started with those guys they wouldn't even forward abuse reports to me. Run potater against someones site for hours? Why not! Try to proxy a ZAP scan against someone's contact form (whoops)? Did that a few times too...

Anyway I signed up for a VPN service a while ago, which should do for the time being, but I really need to find a replacement. They're still an awesome host if you need cheap LEGIT hosting for something, I was paying $7/month for a KVM (vmware style) virtual machine running CentOS.

Shout outs to http://www.netbreeze.net/ for being a great deal. Just use Google Translate to translate your support message into Russian, a bunch of their employees speak English anyway.
