Back once again, this time promoting a Cosplaying for a cause group called Montreal X-Men. I was asked 1 year and 1 month ago to join this group of Cosplayers on their adventure to raise money for important charitable causes. I Cosplay the leader of the X-Men Professor Charles Xavier.
The Groups founder who Cosplays as Wolverine began this group in the hopes of raising funds for Breast Cancer awareness. His mother is a survivor and is his inspiration for working towards eliminating this terrible disease. Since its inception The Montreal X-Men have raised funds for many important causes including an Art Scholarship, The Breast Cancer Foundation for both Ontario and Quebec, American Cancer Society (Making Strides for the Cure campaign), Cancer Patient Support Foundation, CIBC Walk for the Cure, Sun Youth, and Suicide Action Montreal.
What do they (we) do to raise funds? We provide X-Men for events such as Comiccons, Charitable walks, Parades and offer the public the opportunity to take pictures with their favorite superheroes for a donation.
In 2016, we raised a total of 5,704.89 $ which makes for a cumulative total of 13,760.91 $!!!
If anyone is interested in our little group, they can contact Montreal's Wolverine through his Facebook page. ... Keep an eye out for us.
