I don't like city living.
It was fun once, in Berlin. A car in Berlin is a nuisance, or was back then.
The point being.....public transit that was uber-reliable. Once one became acclimated navigation was easy.
But cities are way too.......
I like walking out into the woods behind the house in the darkness of an early morning to watch the sunrise. No, not the sunrise itself, but the "change of shifts" in the denizens of these woods.
But enough about that.......Did you ever hear a song that so completely collapses time that it sends shivers through your spirit? The sensation, the rush of displaced time and space so intense, so REAL, you wonder?
When you stare at a small pond in the morning light
And your taken by the breath taking beauty of the sun's dancing mystic shimmer
Remember its a thought-thin surface hiding traps, waiting for the fool hardy swimmer mesmerized by slinky light, blinded by beautiful blinking light.
(He settles into his easy chair, staring..........)
At The Zoo*
The Lion stalks his cage, back and forth and back and forth and back
Looking for a chance
And the he lies down
Tarzan stands with his popcorn box
safely behind the rail,
on the sidewalk, at the line that says...
"Do Not Cross".
I like growing my own vegetables
