Paul Krugman is nearly 100% correct. I do not think it is a coincidence that one of Obama's few progressive defenders now was one of his few progressive critics when he was elected. Most aspects of the Obama presidency that have disappointed progressives, financial centrism, futile attempts to work with Republicans, willingness to use airstrikes, etc., were things he promised to do when he campaigned for President in 2008, and were the reason some progressives like Krugman were worried Disappointed progressives are those upset he was the President he said he would be, rather than the one they wanted him to be. Since Krugman was not expecting much, he is able to judge Obama based on history. And Obama looks pretty good.
I just hope progressives do not get their hopes up about Hillary.
