I m submitting 3 collages of a series of 4 t-shirt designs I created in 2017 to sell them before christmas 2017.
What you see is a combination of dog poo I photographed myself and free stock footage from pixabay.
My t-shirt project is more or less an art project (as almost nobody wants to buy a t-shirt with dog poo on it).
All started, when a friend of mine and me – both working in an advertising agency at that time – discovered our love for something called HATE.
We found out: Hate is an universal power of the universe and it is really good. Trust me.
As a professional copywriter I started to write short but hateful texts for the shirts.
So the first t-shirts with texts like the one above appeared in the online shop and we created some content for the facebook page of the brand (films, postings, etc.)
When the people asked "Why should I hate some one?" or told us "Hate is something very bad!" we just asked them about the Islamic State, Men that rape children or people that hate gays?
We think all this bullsh!t should be hated from the bottom of your heart – and most people agreed with us.
ANXTXSHIRT (= "anti shirt" - it sounds better in german as we pronounce it like uhn-tee-shirt) is a sarcastic way to deal with bad stuff in your life.
And of course the "dog poo x-mas edition" was our way to say 'no' to capitalism and the buying binge in our western countries that is taking part in each and every December again.
People spending millions of $ on sh!t – while listening to WHAM – not giving a sh!t about the poor in the world. Thanks – but no thanks.
Hope you enjoyed my creative way of protest. And yes it looks awful as f#ck but that was the intention.
