Why Deism & Not Atheism?
Deism makes more sense to me then Atheism. At least with Deism when you look at the evidence of science and nature to date it points towards a Deist type of God or Creator, when you take the Atheist position you're really on shaky ground when it comes to explaining how the Big Bang occurred, how life evolved from non-life, the universal constants of existence, etc. I will be a Deist until I have enough sufficient evidence against the idea of a Creator or Deist God. Unfortunately I don't think there will be evidence against a Deist type of God, maybe I am being arrogant by saying that, but I have reasonable doubt to believe existence sprouted itself from nothing on accident and we have no evidence of multiverse theory and we also have zero evidence that the universe always existed. There will always be in principle some kind of fundamental mind or universal consciousness or deity conception necessarily hypothesized at the root of all possible realities, even if supposing Atheism were correct about the multiverse theory, it only begs the question who or what created the multiverse? My answer is the Deist God, which contains all realities and universes an this universe within its sovereign mind or consciousness. So to me whether or not this universe is the only universe or whether there are an infinite number of universes, a Deist God still factors into the equation because the Deist God would have to necessarily be the Mind which created the multiverse. So I am a Deist, not just because Atheism makes no logical or reasonable sense, but because I have genuine reasonable doubt that existence is accidental, based on chance, is eternal or came into being from nothingness.
