Aiden seems to be enjoying the crash course in opera. I'm trying to expose him to it as much as I can. He's been wonderfully receptive to new ideas and experiences lately, so I'm taking advantage of that. I'm trying to stuff his head with all things inspiring and magical. Music and literature first, then art. I'm excited about this! He's so sure of himself and who he is, that he often just stumbles into things on his own. He knows what he likes and he seeks it out, until he discovers something he truly loves in the process. It's rare that I get to expose him to new things, independent of his own explorations. He's the great conquistador of his own world. Little flag, little ship, and a map to his own mind. Every now and then, I get to play patron and give him the means to find a new land.
I'm about to show him Giuseppe di Stefano, one of the most amazing and open voiced tenors to ever grace the stage.
